Reveal Findings

CT – Axial images demonstrate fractures of the right pedicle extending to the transverse process and of the right lamina extending to the spinous process. Note the compression fractures of T3 and T4 on the sagittal reformat.

Reveal Discussion

Pedicolaminar fracture is the result of simultaneous hyperextension and rotation. The fracture of the pedicle and lamina result in free floating artcular mass. Pedicolaminar fractures are classified by the degree of separation and rotation.
